John Hughes, Principal, Hunts Point Middle School, MS 424

John Hughes is a life-long Bronx resident who has been working in Hunts Point since 2001, when he arrived as principal of Public School 48. After six successful years, he agreed to taking on the greatest challenge of his career as principal of the Hunts Point Middle School, MS 424. With hard work and strong partnerships, he is confident that the Hunts Point Middle School can be transmogrified, better serving the families of Hunts Point.

In addition to his career in education, Dr. Hughes is also a musician, playing regularly with local favorites, Johnny Seven. He is honored to be a part of the Hunts Point Alliance for Children and looks forwards to being a partner in its success.
