Ruth Santana, Coordinator, Project HOPE
Ruth Santana was born in the Dominican Republic. She has lived in the United States for the past seventeen years. Ruth is committed to improving the health status of underserved communities and is the proud coordinator of Urban Health Plan’s Project H.O.P.E. (Health Outcomes through Peer Education), a program aimed at improving chronic conditions such as obesity, asthma, and HIV in the 10474 zip code. Ruth has an MPH from Lehman College. Prior to coming to UHP she worked at St. Barnabas Hospital and Morris Heights Health Center.
