The Hunts Point Alliance for Children is proud to partner with the Bank Street College to sponsor local youth each year to attend the Bank Street Summer Camp. Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in the Shakespeare program as an opportunity to extend their participation with HPAC throughout the summer.
In 2009, ten Hunts Point students received scholarships to attend Bank Street, participating in the Shakespeare Program, as well as Musical Theater and Sports Camps. Additionally, four local teens were hired as Counselors In Training by Bank Street where they learned job skills, while sharing an adventure with the neighborhood students.
